Repulse Bay

This was a very busy household in Repulse Bay so achieving a relaxed and comfortable feeling was a high priority for the client. The sofas were recovered, rather than buying new, and with the money saved we were able to custom-weave three beautiful area rugs. These subtly enhanced each room by grounding the colours, and making each area more warm and luxurious. Light was also an important factor in deciding the use of space, so it could flow throughout without becoming trapped.

Project highlight:

I enlarged the back frame of a Vietnamese lacquer painting to cover the entrance window. The client was happy to lose the window as light was not an issue here with plenty pouring in through glass panels in the ceiling. I wanted the entrance have that 'wow!' factor, not just to impress guests but also to please the clients whenever they came home.
